It should be able to perform the backup, the restore may be problematic, but as long as you're going to the same hardware it is fairly likely to work.
You definately will not be able to use the 'Restore Anyware' option because it uses Windows APIs in order to function, so restores to different hardware are not going to work.
Try it out on a test machine and report back with the results, I'd be interested in seeing if it works.
