Our System Recovery Server is installed on a 32 bit system. We've recently installed 2 64 bit machines which required to be backed up. I tried to deploy the SRS agent package to the system but it doesn't work. I'm assuming its because the package isnt compatible with both. Where would I find hte 64 bit package to install? I don't have the original CD's as the person who installed it has misplaced them.

So what exactly happens then? What errors are you seeing? Have you checked the event logs for errors?
NOTE: there is no 64bit package for BESR.

My info is a bit off sorry... The Package installs fine. But when you try to run a backup, it does not start and returns some errors:
-Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: Recovery point of C:\.
--Error E0BB001B: Cannot lock volume \\?\Volume{b0613ae6-d4f1-11de-9f1c-806e6f6e6963}\ because it contains the OS or has an active paging file.
This will only happen on 64 bit OS's. I have 15 other 32 bit machines which work fine.

Have you rebooted after the installing the agent on the 64bit OS ?

Yes, it was done via the deployment process.

"Note: Backup Exec System Recovery 6.5 is currently not designed to run under a 64 bit OS, and may give this error if customers choose to use it in this environment."
Yeah, that helps..... Thanks.
