Server will not boot Windows after full restore.

Have Dell T605 PowerEdge Server.  Full backup.  Wipe Volume fresh (Deleted Raid, recreated Raid), restored the C drive with MBR and made it OS bootable via options.  Restore completes successfully, reboots.  All hardware are loaded up and when it comes to booting the OS it would just hang.  So other options I have is to boot of the recovery CD or other bootable CD.

Any ideas?

Are you restoring to different hardware, if so did you see the Restore Anyware screen when performing the restore?

When you state the restore is hanging after reboot what exactly is happening? Blinking cursor? Boot loop?

Are there any motherboard bios boot warnings?

Hi All,

I have the same problem. My server failed to found the OS after restore, it seems cannot detect the MBR or the boot OS (I already choosed in the SRD menu).

Anyone please help?

On your restore attempts have those having this issue use the diskpart Clean command to prepare the disk before the restore attempt?
