Symantec Backup Exec Manager on Domain Controller

I have a customer trying to make a Domain Controller the Symantec Backup Exec Manager.

It was no problem to install the Manager onto the domain controller, but I am having trouble deploying the backups to the other nodes. It keeps telling me that I don't have the appropriate network credentials when I know I am entering them right.

I am entering it as DOMAIN_NAME\administrator

with the appropriate password.

Can this be done?

As far as I remember BESRM 8.5 should no be installed on a DC, it is better to install it on a member server.

I think when I evaluated BESRM 8.5 I tried to install it on a testbed DC and it made some problems. The new BESR-MS 2010 (aka 9.0) must not be installed on a DC, so this might be an additional hint.
