Symantec Installation Manager and System Recovery Management solution 2011

This is the magement solution for Desktop Recovery.

Server is a VM, running Windows 2003 R2.

I can not get the software to install.  All requirements are green with the exception of SQL as I am using SQL 2008 Express.  As soon as I get to the Notification server configuration, fill it out and hit next, the sever freezes.  I've updated everything and am out of ideas.

Any ideas?

Hm, is it a new install or an upgrade/reinstall of an existing ms ?

Brand new install.

Hm, can you connect to the SQL Server Express instance using the SQL ssms ? I assume you enter the correct information to connect to the SQL Express instance in the setup.
