Hi
I am trying to create an SRD and setup LightsOut nn a freshly installed Windows Server 20222 Standard - during SRD creation i get an ECA313D9 error (https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100046986).
VC Redist WAS installed during System Recovery installation. But it installed slightly different version than the one SRD creator asks for:
How do i tell SRD creator that VC Redist is in that direcotry? Or how do i get the "correct" version?
Or is version 18 just not fully compatible with Windows Server 2022?

Support for Windows 2022 didn't come in until VSR v22, so you will either need VSR 22 or VSR 23 depending on your version of Windows Server 2022. More details can be found here:

Thank you - sadly 18 is the newest we can get from TechSoup Foundation (great discount program for NGO/EDU).
I guess i will have to look for other options ;)

Sorry to hear that - but it may be worth checking out Backup Exec as an alternative. I notice TechSoup list Backup Exec version 21 (next to VSR 18) and BE 21 does have support fror Windows 2022. Details here:

I tried Backup Exec a long long time ago, when it belonged to Symantec. Back then SSR/VSR was a better option.
Is it possible to get a trial of BE v21? On Veritas webpage I only see 22 available.

You're right 22 appears to be the only version available for the free trial. Note I have now just sent you a provate message about this,
