Turning on Restore Anywhere

I am evaluating BESR v8.0.1.24976

 

Bill Felt (symantec employee) has posted (https://forums.symantec.com/syment/board/message?board.id=111&message.id=835) that one must manually turn on "Restore Anywhere" before images will restore to different hardware.  Is this information valid for version 8.0 and version 8.5?  I can't find the option to turn this on.  Where would this option be located?

This is no longer the case, versions from 6.5 on have the Restore Anyware Option installed by default. There is an option in the recovery environment labeled 'Use Restore Anyware Option' which must be enabled in order to restore to different hardware, but the backups are all done with this feature enabled.
