What's Your GB per Hour Speed?

I have servers whose backup times are way out of sync.

Is there an average GB/Hr metric I should be targeting?

I have one server that has about 200GB (don't ask, it wasn't my idea) to backup and it takes over 24 hrs.

Any performance tuning suggestions?

Hi Richard,

Are you backing up to local storage, or over the network?  Either way, 24 hours to backup 200GB of data seems really, really slow.  The question of course is where the bottleneck is.

I don't think Symantec has any official data, but anything slower than 500MB per minute would be pretty slow, in my opinion.
