jobs will not run in XP Pro in BESR Desktop 6.5

I have set up BESR Desktop 6.5 on two XP boxes, to run a job of creating a recovery point.

On one of the two boxes, a shutdown program should run after the job finishes.

On both machines the job fails, nothing happens.

Why?? I followed the wizard for setting up a job, I have used BEWS before, it looked basically the same.

The only thing common to both boxes is that the job started 'after-hours,' must the user be actually logged in or something??

I looked in this forum, did not find anything...

Hi Thomas,

Are the jobs failing, meaning they run and then encounter an error?  Or are the jobs simply not even kicking off?  The log files would indicate whether any errors are encountered, as would the application log for the system.

Can you comment on what state the boxes are in at the time the job should be starting?  Is a user logged in at the time but the computer is "locked" or is no user logged in?
