Guys, You are trying to do what is not possible.You must point VmWare converter at the sv2i index file, NOT the actual v2i files. Renaming those will not work either. Selecting the sv2i will open the actual images. Thanks

I talked to Tech Support and it turns out this is by design.

I got my answer from tech support. Even though my NAS runs Windows 2003 Server apparently it lacks core drivers/features that typical computers have, thus you can't deploy to it. So, you can't deploy agents to Windows based NAS devices.

I first thought the same thing when I first ran a backup using the 7.0, the process of backing up 20 gigs took hours. Under 6.5 it was much quicker... anyhow, since that first backup I find the process is just as fast if not faster than the previous ...

Yes I agree. It is more annoying to have to go into Options for each server and set them, IE SMTP error reporting, backup destination etc. But I think they want us to pony up for the management utility. Aint gonna happen...
