BIOGRAPHY

Bruce is a Systems Engineer in the Americas Storage and Availability Business Practice of Symantec Corporation. He has been programming Unix since his first operating systems class on a PDP-11 running System III at Penn State in 1977. He has taught computer science at Pennsylvania State University, University of California, Stevens Institute of Technology, and New Jersey Institute of Technology. Commerically he has worked for Burroughs, AT&T Bell Laboratories, OpenVision, and Veritas. For Veritas and OpenVision, he has worked variously as a software engineer, engineering manager, and consultant, all for high availability products. He has degrees in computer science from Penn State (BS and PhD) and Berkeley (MS).
