Hi Brandon,I got the same problem on my BE server and my remote SQL server.Do the databases files on your SQL server located in different directories or partition? (LDF in partition D for exemple and MDF files in partition E - that's the case for me)...

By default BE takes a copy of the LDF and MDF files in the directory "C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Data".Here, it's the case and patch installation is not working.Anybody at Veritas (sorry, Symantec ;-)) would have a idea to help?Yours.
