I recently redid the entire job but the effect is still the same. it still makes a full backup of the server in question while a differential job is running.

Nope I added the server to the existing backup job. We have a full backup running every Friday evening.

Ahh ok..well good that it is fixed now. The error that is left now isn't really an error. It just indicates that the Search path already exists. Nothing to worry about. Take care.Eric

Hmm I am not sure which other processes can be running. You can also try to start backup exec again and then see which processes it doesnt start cause they are already running. That might reveal the process thats preventing you from updating.And if n...
