RALUS for AIX 5.3 extremely slow -- backupexec 12

Is there a fix or new agent for AIX 5.3 on BackupExec 12.0.  Installed the latest BEWS_12.1364Linux-Unix agents, but backups are performing very slowing -- getting around 1MB/minute and goes upto about 30MB/minute tops.  Tried some of the tweaks sugg...
