I see now. These directories are backed up in the normal C drive, and also in the Domino Databases on the C: drive. I have now deselected in both and will see how we get on.

You must have missed this bit in my first post "The error still comes up, even if I exclude the c:\windows\assembly dir from the backup selection list. "
