That was the first thing that I checked into. Called my vendor and Quntum, the drive and tapes are both made by Quantum.

One other thing I have noticed is that when I try to Label a tape or do an inventory the error says the media in the robtic library is incompatible, but it should be trying to label the stand alone LTO drive.

Thanks for the info Ken, my problem is a bit before the system recognizing the media. I can't seem to get the software to accecpt the LTO setting in the media configuration for the new drive.
