I am getting the following error after attempting to back up:

**********************************

Completed Status: Failed

Final error: 0xe000030c - Exchange failed to return any log files when backing up the database.

Final error category: Resource Errors

For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-780

**********************************

First of all, that reference link for the error goes NO-WHERE, thanks for that.

Second of all, I have seen this error littered on the support pages with no resolution, are people just living with it?

So here's the deal, I ran a backup the other day and got an error saying a backup failed because circular logging was turned on. I followed the reference link and help articles on turning it off. Weird thing is, I never turned it on in the first place, so it was new to me. But all in all, I turned it off and figured that was the end of my problems.

Next day I get this error, failed to return any log files. With apparently no-where offering a fix or information I am posting here to see if I can go where others seem to have been unsuccessful.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it back to the point that it was a few days ago?

Servers that I back up onto one tape drive:

- SBS 2003

- Windows Server 2003 (With SQL 2005)

- Windows Server 2003 (Terminal Server)

Tape Drive:

- HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 (With latest Veritas Drivers)

I am using:

- BackUp Exec 10d SP3

This set up worked for the past year and the problem has only started this week.

Thanks for your help,

- E
