I am having trouble when trying to run a catalog as soon as it tries to run it keeps failing within the first 15 seconds and popping the same error message.  All the backups are done to hard disks and not tape.  All the other catalogs I ran were fine, but this one just keeps failing.  Any suggestions would be great.  Thank you.  Btw it is Version 10.X of Backup Exec.  I can provide more info as needed.

It could be that whatever media that you are trying to catalog is damaged.  Try to duplicate it to another B2D and see whether that can be done.

You can also try to restore with ntbackup and see if that can be done. That will prove if the B2D is damaged or allright.
