I have a Quantum DLT-V4 SATA drive running in a Dell server with Windows 2000. Running on a Promise Tech. 300TA4 SATA controller. Have been fighting with this configuration for the last 2 months. Replaced SATA Controller, Cable and Tape Unit. Updated Firmware on Tape Unit. UP to date drivers and patches on windows and veritas. Still getting errors. Not sure which way to turn now. Just replaced Drive but still failing. Any one have suggestions. Looks like it is always failing on the verify.

Which version of Backup Exec are you using?


Please check whether the device is compatible with Backup Exec
