11D support for IBM TS3100 robotic library

l1r
Not applicable
    Hello,
Just called Symantec and was told that they have not tested 11D with IBM's TS3100 robotic library. Wanted to know if anyone runs it and it works? Read a few messages here from people who were having problems with getting it to work, as well as few that had no problem. Wanted to get more feedback.
We are going to have it on fiber channel.
Currently we've got 11D (recently upgraded from 10D), one IBM tape drive already attached (smaller Quantum I - LTO II, 8 tape library). I already have library expansion option license, so I'm clear on that end.
All suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello there..

In the more recent Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) your device is fully supported, just be sure about the following things:

The Backup Exec engine you are running is 7170.
Apply the Service Pack 2 for the Backup Exec.
Run once again the device configuration wizzard

On the SAN side, doublecheck for:
The most recent BIOS (ROM) for the server and the Fiber Host Adapter if not upgrade it before try any configuration.
Make sure you have the Servers on the same SAN Zone "every server involved in the SAN should be able to see the device  trough the Device manager before run the device configurarion wizzard

I hope this helps.
