Servers not showing in Domain

[SVDP]

we are running V11 Rev 7170, when i expand our domain occasionally we do not see our servers that contain the agents. This is happening more frequently, the only solution is to exit BE and re-try, very fustrating

Hi there...

First of all apply Service Pack 2 to the Backup Exec for Windows Server (BEWS) Console (on this version you got live update so it's easier,  rigth after that review and doublecheck there is no firewall between the servers, finally you could consider a reverse  lookup and/or pinging by IP and name (yes both of them) it could be a DNS problem as well.

Thanks Daffy, unfortunately i get an error when installing SP2, it dowloads ok though

I carried this out but it still will not install.

Downloaded SP2 manually but will not install
