We are in the process of migrating our entire infrastructure to a virtualized one running on Hyper V and I have a few questions:
If we virtualize our BE 11d server will it run properly and be able to back up all of our systems. Also, I have heard that if BE is running on a virtual server it will have issues communicating with the Dell PowerVault 124T tape library, is that true?
I understand that we need to upgrade to BE 12d to fully support 2008 servers, but if the guest OS on the 2008 box is running 2003 will it we able to back it up with 11d, or will the fact that the host is running 2008 get in the way?
