11d Scheduled Backup does not run, with no errors or message

I have 11d small business server suite running on windows sbs 2003 r2.  I scheduled a job to backup a data drive that runs weekly.  The job does not start and there are no errors saying it failed or any other message.  I uninstalled and reinstalled BE and scheduled the job again.  This time the job ran fine for two consecutive weeks, but now this week again it skipped that backup and showed no errors.  If I choose to run manually or schedule a new job minutes into the future it runs fine.  Can anyone tell me why my weekly scheduled backup isn't backing up???  Is this something that will be resolved in the rumored hotfix 8?

We have version 6235.  Is this hotfix still valid, or do I need a separate one?
