2 media servers 1 tape drive

I have 2 media servers on a 100 meg ethernet link, is there a way I can run a duplicate backup set from Media Server A to Media Server B Tape Drive?

I'd like to Archive Off some monthly backups, anyway this can be done?

I guess SSO (shared storage option) license will allow you to share the drive between 2 servers.

In addition to the SSO licences, the tape drive needs to be physically connected to both media servers.

If the tape drive is only connected to Server B, then you cannot run a job on Server A and target the tape drive on Server B.

Could I move the OST or IMG to the media server with the tape job?

OST media cannot be moved as a file copy as it is virtual media presented to BE from the DeDuplication store and does not really have a single file to move.

If using DeDup however then you can do Optimized Duplication from the DeDedup Storage Folder on Server A to the DeDup Storage Folder on Server B - not 100% sure if you can then Duplicate that data to tape once that has been done though and you will need CASO to get Opt Duplication working.
