2012 Upgrade from 2010: All Jobs Scheduled to Run at Same Time

Looking at upgrading from BE2010 and did a P2V of our BE server to a VM in order to do a test upgrade to see what's changing. Downloaded the trial version (having a problem getting our new server license but that's in work). Trial version is 14.0 rev 1798.

In 2010 we have one job that backs up selections on 12 servers to one 800gb tape. This job kicks off at 9PM and each server is backed up incrementally until the last one is done then the tape kicks out.

After upgrading in the test VM I now see 12 jobs all set to run at 9PM.

I'm guessing that's not going to work, right? What am I missing here? How do I get these to run sequentially and all on one tape now?

I poked around in the forum and see mentions of workarounds, new version, etc but frankly haven't found anything concrete that addresses this.

Can someone direct me to something that addresses this?

Thanks.

pkh, thanks for the reply.

I took a look at the links you suggested. What a nightmare.

Nightmare is right..  However, Symantec is going to fix it very soon with a service pack and bring back some of the older functions/features we so miss.  You can try the beta progam and see if that helps.

Good on you for testing before rolling into production!  :)
