I read the article your link pointed to and while most of it was applicable for a drive showing as "offline", mine wasn't, I did recheck the driver and found that the drive did NOT have a Veritas driver as I first thought.This drive had been replaced...

Thanks for the link. I'll take a look at it and see if anything applies.It's odd that both drives have the same firmware and drivers and both run good backup jobs jet the clean job generates errors on only one.
