300 days of 60 evaluation

I have a server that has suddenly gone into evaluation mode, 

Version 12.0 for windows.

when i go into the option to add license keys it gives me a repair option and does not allow me to put any keys in. I have repair or remove. The add additonal option is greyed out

I had put the keys in about a year ago.

I dont want to go through the unistall reinstall if possible.

Sounds like that database is corrupt.
Have you run through the repair option to see if it fixes anything?
Have you run your database utilities (fix database, compact database etc) in BEutility.exe?

ran through the repair opitons and no improvement
No database errors either.

Is there somewhere else i can put the key in?

My next suggestion would be to go through Add/Remove Programs, and choose the option to repair your installation.

That goes through the same process as the repair within the program.

Reinstall?

Backup your Data folder and Catalog folder before doing the reinstall, and then do it.

It half uninstalled an the sql express database disappeared. recreated a new instance of BKEXEC and then everything appeared to go back to normal. Recognised that it wasnt a trial but the connection to the database didnt work. I just started again. small site so not the end of the world.

Try unisntalling one of the license if you have multiple license installed (any agent license will do  )... install the same license again  and restart the services
