A communications failure has occurred

When ever I attempt to backup one of my SQL or SharePoint 2003 servers I recieve the following error:

Job ended: Thursday, February 08, 2007 at 3:04:26 PM
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000fe30 - A communications failure has occurred.
Final error category: Server Errors

Can someone please point me in the right direction, the link (V-79-57344-65072) hasn't helped much.

Hey Sean,

Have you received a response from Symantec on this? I had the same thing happen on my BU job last night and the only thing I could tell is that the server it was backing up at that moment had went down thus causing this error.

Sorry, no. I never got a response to this or a lot of my other issues. I have since dumped BE 11d and went back to our previous backup solution. Not a single issue since...
