AIT3 Barcode issue

My library cannot read any new tapes that I insert into the library. After an inventory, it knows what tapes are in there if they have been in there previously, but for the new tapes it just says "blank media." The barcode reader appears functional. The library is a Sony LIB-152E.

In addition to the inventory please try performing the initialize and then scan operation and then observe the results.

Hello,

It seems the new tapes in the library are seen as 'blank media'. You can refer to the following technote and try out the steps mentioned in it in order to resolve this problem.
