Hello There,

we are currently running Veritas backupexec 10.0 with service pack 3. we have got SBS Edition license (Premium), SBS - Desktop and laptop option and both installed. The operating System is SBS2003 with sp1

we have received the above error message "Access to device is not authorized with this edition of product" It includes error access to Exchange mailboxes, public folder, C drive, users data. " basically, it failed to backup anything on the server.

The backup has been working well for a while, but came up with the above problem since 29/03/2006 (few days after changed to summer time in the UK).

Hope someone can help!

Thanks in advace!

Hi,

Have you recently upgraded from an older version of backup exec?

Is ERVERDC2 the local media serer or a remote server?
