Archiving Files Not Accessed in x Days

When creating an archive job, I set the "files not accessed in" paramenter, but this filter isn't used by the job, displayed in the backup job summary, or saved with the job. Instead, ALL files are archived. How do I configure a backup job to archive only certain files not accessed more recently than x days? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

In order to isolate the issue, please use the option use change journal if available. alongwith the archive backup.

We hope this will help.

Please update us on the issue so that If the issue still persists we can troubleshoot the issue further.

Hi John,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused because of the delayed response. Please let us know if your issue still persists. If yes, please refer the steps mentioned below. If not, we will mark this case as ‘assumed answered’ and move it to ‘answered questions’ pool.

Instead of using a backup method to reset the archive bit, could you use the "Full Backup - backup using Changed Time: method and then select the time frame to backup files and archive them? A Full/Incremental backup that resets the archive bit would access the file and thus change its "Access Time" attribute.
Do let us know if that helps you. Have a nice day!

NOTE : If we do not receive your intimation within two business days, this post would be marked ‘assumed answered’ and would be moved to ‘answered questions’ pool.
