I come to you with an array of questions about how to resolve the forever ongoing issues I seem to have with VSS and backing up Exchange in Backup Exec.
I have several clients running a host of BE versions (11, 12.5, 2010, 2012) on a host of systems (SBS 2008, 2011, 2008 Standard)
I have seem to find that I am almost getting "Could not query the writer status" errors daily and the only partial resolution is to reboot the server but I do not really class this as a fix.
I have noticed if I change the Storage Group Prioritys around in the resource order to have the Public Folder first and then the Mailbox Database, I get a backup of the mailbox databases but the Public Folders fail.This is almost acceptable as most of my clients do not use Public Folders however in BE 2012 you dont have the resource order option any more.
Does anyone have a resolution for this issue?
