[BE 12.5] Migrate to new server with full SQL Server 2005 Question!

Hi

I have 12.5 installed on a serverA and want to move it to serverB. Is there a whitepaper or procedure to do this without losing all of the tape history?

Also, serverA currently runs on SqlServer 2005 express just as the CD installs, but serverB already has full SqlServer 2005 installed and is being used by my engineering system (Autodesk Vault). How does this affect my migration? Will BE install its own instance next to my autodesk vault instance?

A licensing question, in my server farm, I have two severs running full SQL Server 2005 (serverB and serverC). Do I require two Backup Exec Agent for SQL Server, or just one? Also, do I need an Active Directory agent for each backup domain controller, or just one AD Agent for the primary DC? Thanks!

OK That answers one of my questions. Should I make a new post for each question?

Another question to add: On serverA the install path for BE Server is E:\.....  but on serverB I do not have an E:\   can I safely move it to C:\.....  ?

I would suggest you to Uninstall and the reinstall it if you want to move the installation from one drive to another

See http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/307764.htm

Although this was written for use on one machine, there is no reason it won't work to migrate to new machine/new drive
