What would cause something like that?
The job kicks off on time, but by the time it's ready to start backing up the highest priority item in the selection list 4 hours have passed in the Job Log.

Hi Ryan
Have you checked the alerts tab ?

Yeah nothing is really indicating a problem.

When you start the job do you get any "Media Insert" alert.
How long it takes to show the byte count.

Check that you do not have another job holding either the target resource or the resource that is being backed up. For example, if both jobs are writing to tape, then the second job got to wait for the first one to complete or both jobs are backing up something from the C: drive, then C: drive would be held until the first job completes.

What about the resources that are being backed up? For example, both your jobs are trying to back up something from the same disk volume.
Also, did you target your jobs to the individual tape drives? For example, in BE the tape library is HP1 and the drives are HP2 and HP3. Did you target the jobs to HP2 and HP3 rather than HP1
