Hi All,

Does anyone ever seen this error before when trying to backup VMware ESXi into LTO-3 tape drive directly ?

I'm having problem in writing the backup to tape eventhough the tape is writeable and I've successfully queried before ? 

The job failed with the following error: The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed.

Hi Albert 

 Is the job configured to overwrite or append ?

 Open the job from job setup and check under the device & media tab what option 

  is selected for  "when job begins"
