BE 2010 R3 - Exchange 2007 Backups

I have pushed the BE Agent to our 2007 Exchange server via the Install Agents and Media Servers on other servers tools option and rebooted the server.  The media server has the Exchange management tools installed and the Agent for MS Exchange is installed on the media server.  We only need to do a standard backup of the Exchange.  We I try and create a selection list, I am unable to see any option to choose the storage groups or any other Exchange related backups.  The MS Exchange Availability Groups option is empty.  What am I missing??

Thank You,

Eric

Ended up contacting technical support.  The following link helped resolve the issue:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH58430

Ended up need to re-install the agent and add the backup account to these groups, some of which were noted in other docs :(

   * Exchange Organization Administrators
   * Exchange Recipient Administrators
   * Exchange View-Only Administrators
   * Exchange Server Administrators

Is the Exchange agent license installed on the BE server ?

And pls do check if you meet the requirements for backing up Exchange 2007 - http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH51740

Yes the license - Agent for MS Exchange Server is installed on the Media server.  I will look into the detailed requirements further but thought I checked all of them prior to pushing the agent.

Thanks,
Eric

I went through the checklist and added the following:

- Explicit member of the local administrators group on the Exchange server for the System Logon Account.

- Added the domain account used for the System Logon Account to the Exchange Organization Administrators role.

The other settings were fine.  We aren't using GRT so we didn't install the MAPI client.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks,
Eric
