BE 2010 Server Restoration

Hi Guys,

I wanted to know what all things I need to back up in my BE 2010 server, in case my server crashes and i need to restore my server.

Hi Dishant

To restore the entire server you will need C drive + System State + Shadow copy components.

If you are only concerned about Backup Exec software then you need to have a back up of DATA & CATALOGS folder.

The above 2 folders are located at X:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec

Hi Dishant,

I would say System State + SQL instance (BKUPEXEC - assuming you have the SQL agent) + Data + Catalogs folders.
You're going to have to reinstall your server and BE anyway before restoring, so I wouldn't bother with the entire C:\ drive.
