Is it possible to backup data from client through Media Server on tape without first backup stage "backup on disk" ?
In case that data are stored on a tape, do recovery process will extract data on Media Server disk and than send to client ?

Hi,
Yes...no worries about this.
Set up the RAWS agent on the server, create a selection list and add in what you want to back up.
When restoring, you can then restore locally on the media server, or to the original location, or redirect to another server.
The only time staging takes place is when a GRT backup (example of Exchange) was taken to tape first. It then needs to stage to disk first before restoring.
Backing up normal data etc. to tape doesn't require this.
Thanks!
