Hi,

 Can we create a console on the user level to access the console manager from a workstation

to perform inventory  and get access to the history jobs

Can we run an inventory using restricted accounts?

I have seen such a question recently, as far as I know, it is not possible to run separate tasks within BE with restricted accounts.

I have tested something...adding an existing account (normal priviliges) to backup exec server as a new user in the logon accounts, the same user was added to the local BE server backup operator group. And i have make the backup exec user as restricted account also

I logged in to the BE server using the account that i have already added i was able to run an inventory, delete jobs from the history,,but i was not able to check the properties of any jobs, it was prompting for a password
