beserver.exe never starts, just hangs and can't be killed. It generates the "killed off by visual c++" message referred to in http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/287554.htm, which a number of other posting on the Internet have also stated that it doesn't solve the problem, so I'm looking for other solutions.
Running beserver.exe -console generates the log specified in the above article, ending in Initializing CRF, but like other folks, the registry entry has the appropriate value.
This particular server was running BE11d, but was upgraded to BE12.5, and the beserver.exe process will not start.
