BE12 Linux 64-bit Agent Skipping Folders

I went to restore a folder earlier today and noticed that it was not backing it up, upon looking into this issue more I found that I have 3 servers this is happening to. I have a Windows 2003 box for my Media Server and have 64-bit SLES10 with OES2 as my agents. I am backing up NSS volumes, which appear as just another folder in the "media" folder. One of the two folders will get backed up, and the other is skipped totally. I have verified that the correct folders are selected to be backed up. I have also started a manual backup job and it just skips that folder and states it is complete.

My first thought is that it is something with the 64-bit OS, but I have a total of 4 servers like this and one works fine. I have several 32-bit SLES boxes that work fine also. I have had these servers migrated over to SLES from Netware in excess of 6 months and it appears I have had this issue for this long, not a "just started" issue.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I had to do that AND kill the jobs, policies, etc on the Media Server for it to work again. Thanks for that thought!

Would you pls check this KB & confirm if you are selecting the NSS resources in the right manner or not - http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO58935

Just looked at that KB, I am selecting it the correct way. I don't have these selections list or anything else different from the other servers that work fine. Thanks for your reply!

Have you looked at these KBs:

Thanks for the input, but those KBs deal with restoring the data. I am not even getting the data backed up. I have 60+ GB of data selected to be backed up and only about 5 GB is actually happening.

Thanks again

Have you tried uninstalling & reinstalling the Remote Agent on the SLES server....Again, this may be just a best effort as we don't fully support NSS on 64bit OES....
