BE2012 Disaster Scenario

We are running BE2012 doing daily incremental backups to a local SAN and Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly backups to Tape which are stored offsite.

My question is, if our data center were to burn down, we lose the Backup Exec server and we need to recover from the off site tapes, what do we do?

How do we know which tapes belong to which jobs, etc etc.  Is there a step by step recovery procress that someone can point me to?

Regards,

Chris

The only way to easily find out whuich tapes contain which data is to have copied of teh Backup Exec Catalogs and the BEDB

Without these (or if you have expiry times set on catalog retention), you should keep an external record of when any tapes are uses and sent offsite so that it can be referred to later,

Can you point me to a link that shows the Best Practices steps when it comes to what I am trying to accomplish?  Pretty sure I am not the first person to need to document this process in the event we lose our data center (small data center, but still smiley)
