We've installed a Small Business Server 2011 in a virtual Machine (Microsoft Hyper-V engine running with Windows Server 2012 R2). Physical Machine with an installed Backup Exec 2014 SP2 refuses to recognize the Small Business Server. Therefore the license for the Small Business Edition Agent expires after 60 days.
BE License file is recognized as Small Business Edition 2014.
Is there a applicable Solution? The installation of the Backup Exec program on the Hyper-V server is necessary, because of the LTO4 tape drive (SAS).
Thank you very much for your help

Afaik, if the SBS server is backed up as a VM using the Hyper-V agent, it should be t since the BE SBE is licensed for Hyper-V as well, but if you are backing up the SBS server as a physical machine using the Remote Agent, then the SBE Agent for Windows is required.
Best to confirm this with the licensing dept at http://www.symantec.com/support/assistance_care.jsp

The Hyper-V machine with the installed BE2014 is a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard, while the Small Business Server 2011 is a virtual machine on this Hyper-V.
Even if I install the Backup Exec Agent on the SBS2011, I get this license status. Backup Exec should recognize it as a Small Business Server.
