BackUp Exec 8.6 and SQL 2005

We are getting ready to start switching to SQL 2005, and need some justification (other then it is old) that this version will not work with SQL 2005... Comments... thanks

SQL2005  requires v10d  see the v10d SCL at http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/278254.htm

Unless you can fine a v10 or v10d base serial and SQL serial on one of the auction sites, you're probably stuck with v11d, since that is all that Symantec and most ReSellers are carrying now.

Thanks, i was going to go with 11x anyways, but i guess my question was will 8.6 backup sql server 2005?
