Backing Up other machines on the Domain

Hi all

I am trying to backup 3 machines all running Win 2000 server which are created on 3 seperate domains on the Same network how do i see the Other machines as when i pull them up on the main server they are Greyed out & i cannot Select them do i need to install something lkie client access Etc i have all the original disks Etc would it be on one of them ?

You need to purchase a RemoteAgent for each remote server, then install them, either via push from the media server, or locally on each remote server.

As Ken notes above, you need the agent installed on each machine.

From there, when creating a job you will need to create a logon account for each connection since they are in three seperate domains. When making backup selections, you will be prompted for a logon account which has rights to that machine. Once you create the proper logon account, the job will use it every time it connects to that machine.

Your backup jobs can contain multiple logon accounts for different resources.
