Backing up a Linux Box

We are using Backup Exex for Windows v9.1Server.
I would like to know if anyone has tried using the Linux agent to backup a Gentoo Box and did it work.
From the Veritas web site it looks like the Linux agent does not support much.

Hello,

If its not listed in the sowtware comatibility list then its not supported.
