Backup Device without Remote Agent

Is is possible to backup shares on on a remote device without a remote agent installed on the device?

In 9.1 we were able to backup a NAS device by just selecting the shares.  The job would then end with warnings, because the agent is was not installed.  But it would at least get all the data.

Since moving to 11d, the jobs fail when I try to backup network shares on a device without the remote agent installed.

Does anyone know if this can be done?   Our NAS device is linuxed based, but we are not able to access the OS to install any sort of agent.

Try setting up User Defined Shares for your NAS and back them up, rather than browsing to them in the Networks tree
