Hi Vigneshwaran,

Check event viewer (Application and System logs) for errors related to device. Common Event IDs for H/W errors found under event viewer system log are 5,7,9,11,15. If you find any of these Event IDs contact the hardware vendor. Check the Tech Article below for more reference:

How to troubleshoot issues with a Robotic Library (autoloader/changer) and/or Tape Drive(s).

Thanks!!

Hello Vicky,

Have you confirmed that the Medium Changer and the tape drives are properly showing up in the Windows Device Manager? If they are not detected then there is some communication issue with the Library and the server. You can perform a powercycle in following order:

-Shut down the server

-Shut down the Robotic Library

-Turn ON the Library and wait for some time till it initializes and completed self inventory

-Then turn ON the server

Now check if the library is showing in Device Manager or not. If it is now showing up then proceed to BE console and see if it is alright now.

Thanks,

-Sush...
