Backup Error to Exchange 2007

I keep receiving this error when trying to backup my exchange 2007 second mailstore
 
Job ended: 06 July 2007 at 00:42:47 Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe000fe30 - A communications failure has occurred. Final error category: Server Errors
Backup- Information Store\Second Storage Group V-79-57344-65072 - The Exchange Store service is not responding. Backup set canceled.
I am runnning Veritas 11 ver 7170
with
HOTFIX 1
HOTFIX 3
HOTFIX 4
HOTFIX 5
HOTFIX 7
HOTFIX 8
 
Installed
 
Anyone any ideas?

I assume backups of your other storage group(s) work fine?   Are you sure the database(s) in storage group 2 are all mounted?  Exchaneg 2007 console does not always refresh and one could be dismounted and show as mounted.
 
Is BE Remote Agent up and running on the exchanegs erver when this error happens?
