Backup Exec 10.0 Job taking far too long.

Hi guys,

wondering if somebody can help me out with the problem i have.

I am running Backup Exec 10.0 rev 5484 with service pack 6 installed, i have the software installed on a HP ML350 G3 server running windows 2003 server and backing up to a HP Storageworks Ultrium 460 drive.

im backing up roughly 160gb of data from across the following servers

DC (where the backup exec is installed)

x1 Exchange server

x2 Citrix servers

x1 SQL 2000 server

i have updated the firmware to the tape drive,  but the problem is its taking 30 hours plus to back up the data which is really slowing down the network which stopped me doing nightly backups, i have had to resort to doing weekend backups.

How can i speed this up as it should not be taking this amount of time

Were all the servers about equally slow?  or was one more slow than the others?

For the Exchange Server.  Are you doing Mailbox backups, or just Stores backups?

Dis-able AutoNegotiate on all NICs/Switch ports along the path(s) of the backups.  Hardset to the fastest speed the both ends can handle
